Private Events

The Grant House works beautifully for events of all sizes! We have many different options for private events. The Fowler Room accommodates up to 24 and is a private, board-room style space with a built in projector and screen. Our Club Main Dining Room is our private, upstairs dining room with two fireplaces and surrounded by windows that seats up to 24, but can also be turned into a reception room that can fit up to 40 for a mingling event. We have two parlours that can seat up to 10 that are perfect for intimate dinners, business meetings and small parties. Our South Parlour has a large TV that you can connect your laptop to for business presentations and our North Parlour has Ulysses S. Grant’s actual work desk you can sit at! Our lovely Sunroom can seat up to 14 and works great for teas, bridal showers and birthday parties. This room is the most requested room by our regular diners. Our Main Dining Room can seat up to 40 and is perfect for any occasion including, but not limited to: rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal luncheons, small wedding receptions, business dinners and holiday parties. We can also host up to 100 or more for a mingling, cocktail style event throughout the house. We also have an on-site bar on the main floor with a large selection of alcohol. The lawns on either side of the house are perfect for large parties. We can host up to 250 outside on our lawns for all those lovely summer events. We also rent out our patio and covered veranda separately as well. Please refer to the room rental agreement below for more information including pricing.

Weddings

The Grant House has spacious grounds with lawns on either side of the house that work perfect for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. Our shady trees are perfect for those hot summer days! Our on-site gardens make for beautiful wedding photos. We even have our own herb garden which the chef uses for his seasonal dishes. We can accommodate anywhere from 25 up to 250. We offer a garden patio, covered verandas, and landscaped lawns.

Whether you want a casual wedding with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres or a formal wedding offering a sit-down dinner and wine pairing, we can do it! Our team of culinary professionals will work with you and your vision to create your dream wedding. Not only will you have the Executive Chef on-site to make sure your food is prepared beautifully, you will also have an Event Coordinator to ensure the day goes smoothly. We’ve had brides on scooters and horse-drawn carriages. We’ve done theme weddings with elaborate decor and formal weddings with grand pianos on our patio. Off-Site Catering 

The Grant House has many options for holding events on-site, but also provides catering to other off-site locations! We are an approved caterer for all of the venues on the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site as well as many other local venues in the area. We will provide all the service-ware, staff and even a bar! Our off-site catering service comes with china plates, linen napkins and silverware – no plastic forks or paper plates! We can do anything from boxed lunches for 10 to a plated dinner for 200! Our catering menu has several different options to fit your catering needs, but we are also happy to create a custom menu for any event.
